About Perth City Air – Our Community Involvement
We here at Perth City Air are active in our local community by giving up our time and money to support those less fortunate and vulnerable. We support a range of different community organisations and foundations.
Perth City Air is a community-minded company; paying it forward and giving back is part of our mission.
Perth City Air Director Glenn Smith is an active member at The Rotary Club of Fremantle.
Rotary Clubs are part of an international network of business, professional and community leaders who strive to make the world a better place through practical efforts. One of the main tenants of Rotary International, “paying it forward,” unites men and women around the world from all backgrounds, cultures, religious and political beliefs, allowing ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
Through the Rotary Club of Fremantle and our business networks, we help and give back to those less fortunate in our local community.
Perth City Air are financial supporters of the great charity ‘’12 Buckets’’. Our director Glenn Smith has also helped raise funds for the organisation by Abseiling down the Park City Tower’s 52 Stories in the ‘’Central Park Plunge 2019’’.
Perth City Air also sponsor the ‘’Koondoola Rockets’’ basketball team through the charity 12 Buckets which gives these kids a great sporting outlet many of us take for granted.
12 Buckets is a Perth-based charity that aims to equip vulnerable primary school students in need of mentoring with the skills, support and connections to build a strong future. Since its formation the 12 Buckets One-to-One Mentoring program has been a stand-out success. This program offers tailored one-to-one mentoring to help young children build resilience and work towards a brighter future.
Perth City Air are proud backers of The Fremantle Foundation and ‘’Impact100 Fremantle.’’
Impact100 Fremantle inspires at least 100 donors to each contribute $1,000 annually and then pool the contributions to make high impact grants to local charities and projects.
The Fremantle Foundation is a Community Foundation that provides philanthropic advice and administration to individuals, families, and businesses who are interested in giving effectively in their community. Through effective giving, the Fremantle Foundation allows people to make a lasting impact.
In November 2018, Perth City Air Director Glenn Smith set out to raise funds for a little-known grassroots community charity.
Along with fellow Rotary Club of Fremantle Members they organised an outdoor movie night at the amazing venue the Fremantle Arts Centre. ‘’Movies Making a Difference in Fremantle’’ not only raised much needed funds for the Katina Woodruff Children’s Foundation it also helped raise its profile in the local community.
The Katina Woodruff Children’s Foundation serves clients who are experiencing post-traumatic stress, dislocation and major life-shift adjustments associated with settling into a vastly different culture.
Most of the children associated with the foundation are suffering grief – numerous children have been orphaned prior to being sent to live in Australia. All of Katina’s clients are suffering the grief of disassociation from their extended family network and familiar culture and language.
We have over 30 years of industry experience and have successfully completed projects large and small for a range of commercial and residential clients.
