Ducted reverse cycle air conditioning is a top choice for any residential home or commercial space in Perth.
Whatever type of property you have, a reverse cycle ducted air conditioning system is the most cost-effective solution to cool and heat your building. These systems easily transition between cooling and heating to provide optimal comfort.

At Perth City Air, we install, service and repair all makes and models of air conditioners within the metropolitan area, including ducted reverse cycle air conditioning units. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, our team is qualified to provide you with high-quality air conditioning units and dedicated customer service.
How Ducted Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning Works
Ducted air conditioning functions as a refrigeration system, providing both cool and warm air to your property. This system allows for ultimate comfort throughout the entire year.
Typically, ducted reverse cycle air con units are zoned to switch on and off in individual rooms as needed. While the air con system allows for multiple zones to be used at once, zoning allows for a more efficient system. If desired, you can program the air con for only the rooms that are in use. Therefore, zoned air con can help to minimize your electricity costs and your impact on the environment.
Ducted reverse cycle air conditioning systems also deliver dry air to the rooms in your home or building. Perfect for when the humidity is high, this air is recycled through an indoor Fan Coil Unit and performs well under any conditions.
Why Choose Ducted Air Conditioning?
Ducted reverse cycle air conditioning allows for comfort and control of the temperature throughout your home or building. Here are some of the benefits of having a ducted air con unit in Perth:
- Reverse Cycle Performance: This system can cool or heat your property, allowing for ideal temperature control.
- Efficiency: With the option for zoning or cooling the entire home, ducted reverse cycle air conditioning is an efficient and effective option.
- Health Conscious: Filters in ducted reverse cycle systems remove air contaminants, such as dust, insects, and other unhealthy substances. Ducted air con is a great choice for those with respiratory issues or in spaces with specific health and safety requirements.
- Longevity: Typically, ducted air con systems have long lifespans. And, with proper servicing, your system will maintain optimal function.

Reverse cycle systems are a refrigerated system, providing both cooling and heating. They are generally zoned to switch on/off individual rooms as required.
They provide a dry air which is recycled through the indoor Fan Coil Unit and perform well under any conditions.
Evaporative systems are a water cooled system and provide cooling only. They are a roof mounted system that services 100% of the house at one time (no zoning). They constantly supply air from outside (not recycled), and are ideal for hot, dry conditions.
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
TESTIMONIALS
James was fantastic to deal with from start to finish. He stayed in regular contact and routinely checked in throughout the whole process to make sure everything was on track and that we were happy. He was always easily contactable and incredibly responsive whenever we had a question or needed anything clarified, which made the whole experience really easy and stress-free.
The job itself wasn’t the easiest, but the installation team handled everything with ease. They were professional, friendly, efficient and clearly took pride in their work. Chris was particularly great and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly and that we were happy with the result.
They also removed and disposed of our old split systems without any hassle, which was a huge bonus and made the whole process even easier for us.
The entire experience with Perth City Air was excellent. They made what could have been a complicated job feel completely straightforward, and the finished result is fantastic. Perth City Air are easily recommended to anyone looking for a quality air conditioning installation.
Thanks again to James, Chris and the whole team!
I wasn't sure about the unit size, so Ryan went above and beyond. He sent me the design of his own home and his usage across several days, which was a nice personal touch.
On the day, Eric and his team carried out an exceptional install. They talked through everything with me to make sure it was correct and left my property clean and tidy afterwards.
Even after the install, they are more than happy to take calls and help me optimise my Airtouch 5 system. You can tell they take real pride in their service and workmanship!
The air con replacement team took a whole day, but did a great job, leaving the area clean and tidy, taking away all the waste from the old system. The house had a tricky design, but they were able to troubleshoot problems, including having to install a ‘manhole’ into a wall for access (this was done a week prior).
The electricians came out the next day, did their work, upgraded the meter box to be modern and large enough to fit what was needed, and installed the control panel, explaining how to use it.
System has been working fine, currently winter, so only using the heating functions.
We had our power tripping 3 weeks later in the upstairs lights. We called back their electrical team (as the timing was suspicious). They spent a few hours in the roof diagnosing the problem, and found and replaced an existing lighting cable which must have been damaged during the installation 3 weeks prior. This was at no extra cost, and was performed very professionally.
The team have been great, communication efficient and timely, highly recommend Perth City Air for this type of work.
James as the sales consultant was on time, knowledgeable and attentive to my requirements, providing me options tailored to my budget and a quote in next voto no time.
The installation team were on time, considerate of my house and the place was spotless afterwards.
Result: a great system that is easy to use, does what it is supposed at a good price.
Aftercare: I've called on them twice since the install and I couldn't have asked for better customer service or responsiveness.
Great company, great team, great product!
Thank you!
The team made it a quick and simple process.
Having now experienced the quality of their service and workmanship, I honestly wish I had used them for my previous properties instead of leaving the air conditioning installation to the builder. The difference in communication, attention to detail, and overall customer experience was noticeable.
I will be using these blokes to upgrade and rezone the system in my residential house
I’d definitely recommend them to anyone. Great job Perth City Air!!!👍
The installation team was skilled, friendly, relatable, efficient and thorough. Everything got done within the expected time line despite some glitches owing to the house being old and additions having been made to it. The electrical team was efficient, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend Perth City Air for quality air conditioning and heating services.
